Wire Maintenance

Inside wire maintenance essentially serves as insurance or protection for your telephone service. With Ballard Telephone’s maintenance plan protection, a small monthly fee can save you time, money and hassle in the event you experience problems with your telephone service and need repairs.

Ballard Telephone offers inside wire maintenance on telephone jacks and inside wiring. Wire maintenance is available to all local telephone service customers at a cost of $1.00 per month.

Wire maintenance does not cover the actual telephone and/or customer owned equipment such as computers, answering machines or fax machines. However, if you do not subscribe to Ballard Telephone’s inside wire maintenance plan, and we make a service call and find the trouble to be in your inside wiring, jacks or other customer owned equipment, you will be charged a $25 service charge and the cost of the materials to fix the problem. If you subscribe to inside wire maintenance, we ask you to unplug any phones or other equipment that might affect your service, if customer owned equipment is creating the trouble; we will charge you a $25 service charge.
