Ballard Telephone Cooperative offers a variety of advanced calling features to make everyday life easier. Each calling feature is a flat monthly rate and the price varies depending on the feature ordered. Voice Mail

This is our basic voice mail plan. Check your messages from your home telephone or by calling your home phone while you are away from home.

Voice Mail Plus

This voice mail package offers a larger mailbox for your messages. Voice Mail Plus allows the customer to manage their account online. Your voice mail can be sent via e-mail and you can listen to your voice mail on-line. Never miss another important phone call again!

Caller ID (Deluxe)

This service allows you to know the name of the caller and number before you answer the telephone. You must have a Caller I.D. box or a telephone with a built-in Caller I.D. display.

Caller ID on Call Waiting

This feature allows you to know the name of the caller and telephone number while you are on the phone. Don’t interrupt an important call again; Caller ID on Call Waiting helps you to keep from missing that important call. You must have a Caller ID box with Call Waiting or an equipped telephone with the same features built in.

Call Waiting

While on the phone, you will be notified of another incoming call by a special tone.

Call Forwarding

Call Forwarding lets you transfer your incoming calls automatically to any other telephone within our calling area.

Three-Way Calling

This service lets you add a third person to your conversation and all three be on the line at the same time.

Speed Calling (8 numbers)

Quickly dial eight of your most frequently dialed numbers via a one digit access code.

Speed Calling (30 numbers)

Quickly dial thirty of your most frequently dialed numbers via a two digit access code.

Anonymous Call Rejection

This service allows a subscriber to refuse calls from callers who block their numbers. The calling party is given the opportunity to release their number so the subscriber will know who is calling.

Repeat Dialing

Automatically call back a busy number for up to 30 minutes. Once the number is not busy, your phone will ring and alert you that the call is being made for you. You don’t have to call over and over again; repeat dialing does it for you!

Call Return

If you miss a phone call by one ring, Call Return dials the calling party back and you don’t have to worry about the missed call.

Toll Control With PIN

This service allows you to designate a Personal Identification Number to control who makes a long distance phone call. Only the person who knows the PIN number can make a long distance phone call. This prevents unauthorized long distance calls from being made using your home phone.

Call Screening

With Call Screening, you can list the specific phone numbers you do not want to answer. Calls from these phone numbers will receive an announcement that informs the caller you are not receiving calls at this time. Call Screening can block up to 6 numbers.

Priority Ringing

Priority Ringing allows you to set a special ring for certain callers. Just by the ring of the phone you can know if your closest friend is calling! Set up 6 different phone numbers with priority ringing and never guess who is calling again!

Subscriber Identified Ring (SIRA)

This feature is known as a teen line. Two different telephone numbers can be assigned to your home phone number. When your main number is dialed, the ring is normal. When the teen line is dialed, two short rings are heard. Only one phone conversation can be held at a time.

Preferred Call Forwarding

Preferred Call Forwarding allows you to never miss a call because you have left the house. You can program up to 6 different phone numbers to be forwarded to a designated number. All other calls will ring through as normal. This feature keeps you in touch no matter where you go!

Special Call Acceptance

Special Call Acceptance allows you to decide who calls. This feature allows you to program the numbers you wish to receive calls from and all other calls are rejected. The rejected callers will receive a message that you are not accepting phone calls at this time.

Non-Listed Number

A non-listed number excludes your phone number from the directory (phone book), but can be obtained via directory assistance.

Additional Listing

This service allows you to have a separate and distinct additional listing in the telephone directory.

Toll Denial

Toll Denial allows the customer to block all “1+” or “0+” long distance calls from being made from their phone. This allows the customer to make local calls only. Many people use this service to prevent unwanted or unauthorized long distance calls from being made.
